A Spanish solidarity association with the Sahrawi people from Palafrugell, Gerona, had named itself Lembarki in his memory.
On 29 November 2007, Daniel Zamora (the last bass guitar player of the band) committed suicide in his hometown Palafrugell.
The largest factory was owned by the American company Armstrong and employed hundreds of locals.
As the collection grew more exhibition space was needed, so in 2004 Can Mario, a disused cork factory in Palafrugell (Empordà ), was converted into a museum for showing painting, sculpture and photography, taking over from Ca la Tona, the small museum in Pals.
