After fall of Pashalik of Yanina his relatives and family moved to Vithkuq and Lubonja,where they had land properties.In 1900 the revolution against Ottoman Empire to gain Independence for all the land of Epirus and Albania was decisive for all the people who lived in this part of Balkan during this time.
After his death, the pashalik ceased to exist and was merged with Pashalik of Berat for creating again Janina Vilayet with Sanjak of Ioannina, Sanjak of Berat, Gjirokastër and Preveza.

He then managed to extend his pashalik until his death in 1787, incorporating territories of all central Albania, bordering to the north with the Pashalik of Scutari and to the south with the Pashalik of Yanina.
Tzavelas was born in Souli, Epirus in 1800, the son of Fotos Tzavelas and grandson of Lambros Tzavelas, both of whom were famous for their roles in the Souliot struggles against Ali Pasha, the Pasha of Yanina.
During the era of the Albanian Pashaliks, the influence of the local Albanian beys had weakened since they had lost the Pashalik of Yanina.
