During a period of 10 years, Gendron exhibited with artists and friends such as Philippe Derome, Eugène de Kermadec, Chu-Teh-Chun, Albert Feraud, Ladislas Kijno and 1940s artists and designer as Chana Orloff, Paul Dupré-Lafon, Jean Dunand, André Arbus.
Further west, Lopa/Lafon, Torit and Ikwoto counties are inhabited by the Otuho, Lopit, Lango, Pari, and Tenet people who inhabit a portion of Lopit hills after they split from Didinga and Murle early in 19th century and Lokoya of Lowoi.
The Lafon family were descended from French Huguenot immigrants, who settled in Virginia in 1700 above the falls of the James River.
