PSI and TRIUMF host the two continuous muon sources available for µSR experiments.

Up to now, PSI is the only facility where such low-energy muon beam is available on a regular basis.
By using hydrogen fuel-cell, developed at ETH/PSI (Paul Scherrer Institute), as power source, pure water is the car's only emission.
The Paul Scherrer Institute is primarily located in Villigen, although part is across the Aare river in Würenlingen.
