Khristo Poshtakov was born in Pavlikeni, a town in the northern central part of Bulgaria.
It is named after its administrative centre - the town of Pavlikeni.
In 1946 they reached the Bulgarian Republic Football Championship semi-finals, eliminating Botev Plovdiv and Hadzhi Slavchev Pavlikeni along the way.
