Jacques Lazarus

Jacques Lazarus (September 2, 1916, Payerne, Switzerland – January 8, 2014, Paris, France) is a French military officer who was a leader of the Jewish resistance in France during World War II.

Payerne

The IGP protected Saucisson Vaudois IGP and the partly AOC protected Boutefas sausage are made from pigs that foraged for acorns in Vaud or Fribourg woods and drank local water.

The municipality was the capital of the Payerne District until it was dissolved on 31 August 2006, and Payerne became part of the new district of Broye-Vully.


Frédéric-Louis Allamand

Born in Payerne, Switzerland, he moved to Leiden, Netherlands in 1749 to live with his uncle, Jean-Nicolas-Sébastien Allamand (1713–1787), a professor in philosophy and mathematics at Leiden University, well known naturalist, member of the Royal Society and correspondent of Benjamin Franklin.
