Peki'in Synagogue

In 1926 and 1930 two old stone tablets dating from the Second Temple period were uncovered at the synagogue.

Margalit Zinati is a member of an ancient Jewish family who have lived for centuries in Pekiā€™in, reputedly since the time of the Second Temple 2,000 years ago.


Ephraim Amu

In 1916 he and two other colleagues had to walk 150 miles from Peki to Abetifi with their boxes on their heads to start teacher training education.

After successfully reaching Frankadua by motor vehicle, he had to carry the organ on his head and walk the distance all night, arriving at Peki the following morning.

Kpalime Duga

The southern neighbours of Duga are Peki Dzake and as well as the Asuogyaman District villages of Anum and Boso.
