1992 Grand National

With regular rider Anthony Tory unavailable, champion jockey Peter Scudamore took the ride and gave their backers every chance jumping the Canal Turn on the second circuit among an unusually large number of runners still holding a chance of victory.

Immediately after retirement, Scudamore became assistant trainer to his business partner Nigel Twiston-Davies.

He now lives with, and is assistant trainer to, successful Scottish jumps trainer, Lucinda Russell at Arlary House Stables near Milnathort.


2003 Grand National

Former Grand National riders Richard Pitman and Peter Scudamore also talked the viewers through an in-depth re-run of the race in slow motion.
