Rita Miljo (1931 KlaipÄ—da, Lithuania - 27 July 2012 Phalaborwa district), was a renowned conservationist and animal rights pioneer noted for founding and managing the "Centre for Animal Rehabilitation and Education" (CARE) near Phalaborwa in South Africa.
Steyn grew up in the small town of Phalaborwa on the border of the world-famous wildlife haven, the Kruger National Park.
