Martin and his wife, Silva, moved to the U.S. in 2007 to work with Phillip Dutton.
She was out of competition for five weeks, during which time her main mount, Mandiba, was ridden by fellow US eventer Phillip Dutton.
This meant her final ranking was 27th, later promoted to 26th due to the disqualification of the American Phillip Dutton.
In April 2007, Dutton took second at the famous 4 star event the Rolex Kentucky Three Day, as his first time riding for the U.S. Later that year, he won the team gold and individual silver medal at the 2007 Pan American Games on Truluck.
