While in the WWF Cibernético and Pierroth, Jr. defeated The New Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy) at a Raw show and later lost to Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon by disqualification during a Superstars taping.

During AAA's short partnership with the World Wrestling Federation, he participated in the 1997 Royal Rumble and wrestled on Raw is War and WWF Shotgun Saturday Night, often teaming with Pierroth, Jr. He is a former AAA World Heavyweight Champion as well as a former three time Campeón de Campeones, the predecessor to the AAA world championship.
The finals saw Jerry Estrada defeat Pierroth, Jr. In 1996 the then champion Dr. Wagner, Jr. lost the title to Aquarius on a show in Japan but the title change was never officially recognized by CMLL.
The second cibernetico took place on November 4 and saw Atlantis outlast a field that also included Místico, Último Dragón, Máxmio, El Sagrado, Mephisto, Hijo de Pierroth and Gedo.
