On 11 February 2008 GCap announced that it was selling its interest in Digital One to Arqiva and that "non-core" DAB stations Planet Rock and theJazz would be closing by the end of March 2008.

Some of Barbosa's greatest musical influences were Arthur Baker and John Robie, the duo that invented electro funk with Afrika Bambaataa's "Planet Rock".
The group's most popular song, "Play at Your Own Risk," was created from tracks that did not make the final version of Afrika Bambaataa's seminal "Planet Rock."
Their most well-known songs are "Planet Rock", "Looking for the Perfect Beat" and "Renegades of Funk" (which is one of the earliest political-conscious rap songs, alongside Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five's "The Message").
