Georges Poubennec (born in Brest, France, July 17, 1930; died March 16, 2012 in Plougastel, France), better known under the name Georges Aber, was a French singer-songwriter.
The Plougastel Bridge, or Albert-Louppe Bridge, is a bridge over the Elorn River near Brest, France, connecting Plougastel-Daoulas and Le Relecq-Kerhuon.
The New World species of strawberry, Fragaria chiloensis, which had been introduced into France by Amédée-François Frézier (1682–1773), flourished in the marine climate of Plougastel.
