The mountain is visible from the villages Lopra and from Nes, which is between Vágur and Porkeri.
The Porkeri Mountains are a mountain range near the village of Porkeri in the Faroe Islands near the Porkeri Mountains,just north of Vágur on Suðuroy's east coast.

The circuit was the distance between: Tvøroyri – Øravík – Fámjin – Øravík – Hov – Porkeri – Vág – Lopra – Sumba, across Hestin, return to Sumba back to Vágur.
