Portway, Bristol a road in the City of Bristol that follows the River Avon
At Old Sarum the road connected with the Portway to Silchester (Calleva Atrebatum) and London; and from Badbury Rings roads led to the harbour at Hamworthy (Moriconium) and to Dorchester (Durnovaria).
Drivers can also access the centre by using one of Bristol's three Park and Ride services; Long Ashton, Portway and Bath Road.
The Portway park and ride service is run using Optare Solo SR buses; since 2011 the Walton-le-Dale service is run by hybrid Optare Versas.
The 10th IAAF World Half Marathon Championships were hosted by the city in 2001 on a course through the city centre and alongside the Floating Harbour and the Portway, Bristol.
