The parish was created on 1 April 1995 as an amalgamation of Colnbrook from the parish of Iver with Poyle from an unparished area.
Poyle is a largely industrial and agricultural area in the unitary authority of Slough, England, adjoining the Colne Valley regional park.

Poyle is now home to the Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 which is scheduled to open on 31 August 2011 and the Travelodge UK Heathrow Terminal 5.
