The Praja Party, initially called the Council Praja Party or the Bengal Praja Party (Bengal Tenant Party) and later renamed the Nikhil Banga Praja Samiti (All Bengal Tenant Association) then the Krishak Praja Party (Peasant Tenant Party), was a political party of Bengal in the latter days of British India.

As the Nikhil Banga Praja Samiti, in its second phase, the party added a new way of Bengal politics by activating the people of Calcutta's rural hinterland with the slogan of "Land to the tillers!".

Nava Telangana Praja Party head office was formally inaugurated on August 14, 2008 by Fatima Begum, mother of Shaik Fakir, belonging to warangal, who died during agitation for separate statehood of Telangana in 1968 at the age of 19, along with Venkamma, mother of Narsimlu who died in police firing at the age of 14 during agitations for a separate Telangana state.
