Later, it was renamed "Caccioppoli" in honour of Francis Caccioppoli, the director of the Naval Institute in Procida, and Renato Caccioppoli, an Italian mathematician, at the suggestion of Ettore Perozzi.
He finished third, beaten a neck and half a length by Sadler's Wells and Procida giving the impression that he would be suited by a longer distance.
Procida |
The myth, of Greek origin, tells of two brigands, the Cercopes of Ephesus, who played pranks on Zeus, who then punished them by turning them into monkeys and exiling them to the islands of Aenaria (Ischia) and Prochyta (Procida).
In 2000 he was engaged as a Bass at the Thater Lübeck where he sang Procida (I vespri siciliani), Pandolph (Cendrillon), Orest (Elektra) and Ramfis (Aida).
