Memnon of Heraclea says that King Prusias I of Bithynia (237-192 B.C.) captured from the Heracleans the town of Kieros, united it to his dominions and changed its name to Prusias.
Prusias I Cholus (in Greek Προυσίας Α' ὁ Χωλός "the Lame") (lived c. 243 BC – 182 BC, reigned c. 228 BC – 182 BC) was a king of Bithynia.
In 183 BC he was sent to negotiate with Prusias I of Bithynia in an attempt to capture Hannibal, who had been exiled there from Carthage, but Hannibal committed suicide to avoid being taken prisoner.
