In 1996, he introduced veteran actor Raaj Kumar's son Puru Raajkumar in Bal Brahmachari which was also unsuccessful.
He made his film debut with the 1996 film Bal Bramhachari which was released only a few months after the death of his father.

After a three year hiatus, Puru returned with a negative role in the film Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000) which was a hit at the box office.
