Hinduism, especially of the Samkhya school, views the creation of the cosmos as the result of the play of two radically distinct principles: the feminine matter (Prakriti) and the masculine spirit (Purusha).
Devi Parashakthi is the mother of Kundalini Shakthi, a minute part of her has manifested as Purusha (Shiva) and Prakrti (Shakthi), which together has materialized into various universes (multiverse) as living and non-living entities through maya (illusion) Shakthi.
Instead of spirit (Purusha) and nature (Prakriti), Kashmir Shaivism has five pure tattvas representing the Ultimate Reality and then six more representing the occultation process (maya) which translates the non-dual pure reality to time and space limited world and its subjects.
The Purusha in the title of Purusha Sukta refers to the Parama Purusha, Purushottama, Vedic Supreme God Narayana, in his form as the Viraat Purusha (Enormously Huge Being).

The concept of al-Insān al-Kāmil is somewhat comparable to the Purusha of Samkhya Hinduism and the Adam Kadmon of Lurianic Kabbalah.
Common examples are the Sudarshana Chakra, the Shankha-purusha and Kaumodaki, mostly found in Uttar Pradesh and Bengal art.
