As a youth, he had a high soprano voice (he could sing the music of the "Queen of the Night" in The Magic Flute as a boy), and his voice developed into a fine tenor.

She earned rave reviews in London for her several other portrayals of Mozart heroines, including Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte and the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute.
In opera she sang some of the most demanding roles in the coloratura Fach, e.g. Zerbinetta in Richard Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos, Violetta in Verdi's La traviata, Zaide in Mozart's Zaide and the already mentioned Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute.
While in France she sang numeroues roles by Gounod and Meyerbeer, as well as the Queen of the Night in the The Magic Flute and the title role in Gluck's Eurydice among other roles.
