Mary Valley Heritage Railway

The steam train, a fully restored C17 class locomotive from the early 1920s, departs Gympie station at 10 am.

Miles Historical Village and Museum

The village also hosts the former Dalwogan railway station (part of the Wandoan Branch Railway), with the retired Queensland Government Railways C17 steam locomotive no. 944 on display outside.

Queensland C17 class locomotive

Prior to the introduction of 60ton diesel electric locomotives, they were responsible for hauling the air conditioned Inlander, Midlander and Westlander trains for parts of their respective journeys.

Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway

The third locomotive is C17 No. 996, built in 1950, which previously sat on the Southport beachfront, and is now in a dismantled stage to allow examinations to be carried out pending the decision to return it to operational condition.
