Quintiles was founded in 1982 by Dennis Gillings, Ph.D., CBE, then a professor of biostatistics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
He previously worked as head of global project management for Quintiles.
Prior to joining Quintiles, Wooten worked for nine years with First Union Securities Corporation (now Wachovia Securities, Inc.) in Charlotte, North Carolina, most recently as a Managing Director of Investment Banking.
