On October 15, 2007, Prachai Liewpairat, formerly Royalist People's Party Secretary-general and financier, was elected as the party's leader, and Anongwan Thepsuthin, Somsak's wife, was elected as the party's secretary-general.

After the party's disappointing election result in the 2007 Election, the party leader, Prachai Liewpairat resigned.
In 1932, Eruera Tirikatene won the electorate in a by-election and became the first Rātana MP; and then a Labour MP following the Labour-Ratana pact.
In 1996, a three-storey building was acquired through the generosity of a donor and the Ti-Ratana Children's Home was declared open by the National Unity and Social Welfare Minister YB Datuk Paduka Hajjah Zaleha bte Ismail on 21 June 1997.
