Rădăuți

The towns of Siret, Solca, Milișăuți and Vicovu de Sus are located relatively close to the city, in the Rădăuţi urban area of influence.

The Princely Church at Rădăuţi contained the graves of Bogdan I and his son Laţcu, both Voivodes/Princes of Moldavia, as well as a later ruler, Roman I of Moldavia.

Rădăuți-Prut

Although archaeological evidence indicates that flint from this formation was collected from the Prut, Raut and Dniester rivers as early as the Palaeolithic, there is yet no evidence of mining the material until the 1800s.


Lipcani-Rădăuți Bridge

The Rădăuți-Lipcani bridge was built up in 1937 and blasted up in 1941 by retreating Red Army, during the German-led invasion of the Soviet Union.
