Berri Football Club (commonly known as The Demons) is an Australian rules football club playing in the Riverland Football League (RFL) in South Australia.

After the near collapse of rugby league venture Crusaders Rugby League in north Wales he, as a Director of Deeview Consulting, and a local businessman were in discussions with the Rugby Football League about a potential RFL franchise to be played out of Colwyn Bay at Championship One level in conjunction with rugby union.

International Origin

The RFL announced that the first ever Exiles coach would be former Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McLennan, McLennan won numerous accolades with the Rhinos and his first step as coach of the Exiles was to appoint Leeds Rhinos hooker Danny Buderus as the captain of the Exiles.

Italia Rugby Football League

The original teams of Gladiators Roma (Italia RFL 2010 and Central-Southern Italia Rugby League Champions), I Magnifici Firenze and Spes Spartans Catania, along with 2 former Federation members choose to form the new competition, announced just before the 3rd and final round of the 2010 Italian Rugby League Championship, before separate finals were played.

Regional Football League

Former college standouts such as Josh Booty (LSU), Stewart Patridge (Ole Miss), Andre Ware (Houston), Sherman Williams (Alabama Crimson Tide) and Dameyune Craig (Auburn) were signed to RFL teams in the hopes that fans would turn out to see former local stars.
