She produced music programmes for the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation from 1962 to 1995 and has been the regular music critique for major daily newspapers including Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet, Yeni Yuzyil and Radikal.
Shortly after the release of the film Troy in 2004, an article in Radikal written by Şahin and entitled "Were the Trojans Turks?" attracted public interest and generated a debate over the significance of Troy and the Trojan War in modern Turkey.
Born Raphael Mussard in Marseille, Larage made his debut in the group "Soul Swing And Radikal" under the pseudonym "Raff Rage".
