Holloway is no longer open to traffic at the north end: vehicles now take the Wells Road road out of Bath towards Radstock, while pedestrians and cyclists can still follow Holloway up the hill.
The Hundred of Kilmersdon consisted of the ancient parishes of: Ashwick, Babington, Buckland-Denham, Hardington, Hemington, Holcombe, Kilmersdon, Radstock, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, and Writhlington.
Much of the network is in operation today, but the Devizes and Radstock branches have closed.

The Company was founded by Charles Dando Purnell in 1839 as a small family printers with small print shops in Radstock, Midsomer Norton and Paulton.
The Fosse Way Roman road originally ran through this area, between what is now Radstock and Midsomer Norton.
