Dreamfall Chapters is being developed for personal computers by Red Thread Games, an independent studio founded by Ragnar Tørnquist, who wrote and directed the previous two games, under the license from Funcom, the owners of The Longest Journey IP.
Red Thread was founded in September 2012 by Ragnar Tørnquist, creator of The Longest Journey and Dreamfall sagas, and the The Secret World and Anarchy Online universes.
The Longest Journey was developed by a small internal team at Funcom led by Ragnar Tørnquist.
