Rancho Park has hosted various tournaments for the PGA Tour, LPGA and Champions Tour (formerly Senior PGA Tour) including the Los Angeles Open (now known as the Northern Trust Open and the United States Senior Open.

A bronze plaque is located on the 508 yard par-5 9th hole (currently the 18th hole), commemorating the occasion during the 1961 Los Angeles Open when Arnold Palmer carded a twelve after hitting four balls out of bounds.
