The actions of Ashfaq Ullah Khan and his compatriots have recently been depicted in an Amir Khan starrer hit Bollywood movie Rang De Basanti, where his character role was played by the film actor Kunal Kapoor.
Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and written by Rensil D'Silva, the award-winning writer of Rang De Basanti, the film was shelved due to numerous delays.

He has and worked on many A.R.Rahman films, starting with Rang De Basanti and recently Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na and Delhi-6 and also been FOH Sound Engineer for many of his concerts.
