3 unusual facts about Red Eye Radio

Red Eye Radio

The name Red Eye Radio came from Cumulus Media Networks' existing overnight talk show, which at the time of Cumulus's acquisition of Citadel Broadcasting was being hosted by Doug McIntyre (who originated the name and had previously used it on a local Los Angeles-based show prior to changing time slots) on weeknights and Marc Germain on weekends.

With the change, the Midnight Radio Network joins former host Bill Mack along with Dale Sommers and Dave Nemo on the channel.

In addition to Mack's old network, MTRN absorbed Dave Nemo's old The Road Gang network when Nemo left for XM as well.

KTBL

The station has a news and talk format that is mainly from a conservative viewpoint from nationally syndicated radio hosts such as Dennis Miller (10am-1pm), Phil Valentine (1pm-4pm), Glenn Beck (4pm-7pm), John Bachelor, and Red Eye Radio overnight.

WLKW-FM

Its daytime programming comes from the Premiere Networks talk network (Glenn Beck Program, The Rush Limbaugh Show, The Sean Hannity Show), with secondary programming sources including Talk Radio Network (The Savage Nation on weeknights and select weekend programming), Cox Radio/Dial Global (tape-delay airings of Neal Boortz and Clark Howard), and Cumulus Media Networks (overnight programs John Batchelor and Red Eye Radio).
