1925 NFL Championship controversy

When the NFL rejected Pyle's overture, he formed a competing league to showcase the talents of Red Grange and University of Washington All-American George "Wildcat" Wilson.

1933 NFL Championship Game

About 25,000 came out, the largest crowd since Red Grange first came up, and the game they saw was worth the price.

The Bears went 10–2–1 and won the NFL's new "Western Division"; they were led by running backs Red Grange and Bronko Nagurski, and quarterbacked by Keith Molesworth.

Rochester Jeffersons

After an unsuccessful last-ditch effort to lure Red Grange to Rochester (he instead signed with the Chicago Bears), the team suspended operations after the 1925 NFL season; by this point, the team had been losing money (to the point where Lyons' house had been foreclosed upon because of his dumping of virtually all his assets into the team) and had been a traveling team for two seasons (1920 and 1925).

Win Brockmeyer

Mr. Brockmeyer was inducted as a charter member into the Wisconsin Football Coaches Hall of Fame in 1980, and in 1984 was inducted into the National Federation of State High School Associations along with 12 other inductees including Jack Nicklaus and Red Grange.
