In July 1962, the 4th Foreign Regiment was redeployed to Reggane in southern Algeria where the regiment was tasked with guarding the oil fields and French nuclear facilities in the region.
The Centaure has been built in a number of 230 and has been launched from Hammaguir, Reggane, CELPA, Salto di Quirra, Esrange, Thumba, Sonmiani and Andøya.
