Robert L. Cook (December 10, 1952) is a computer graphics researcher and developer, and the co-creator of the RenderMan rendering software.
Software provided integration with Maya (see Autodesk Maya) and Max (see Autodesk 3ds Max) data formats, and utilized the Renderman scene description language for sending data to the processors (the .RIB or Renderman Interface Bytestream file format).
RenderMan Artist Tools, also known at R.A.T. is a set of plug-ins and tools produced by Pixar for better integration of Pixar Animation Studio's PhotoRealistic RenderMan and Autodesk's Maya.
