The album builds on the styles Virgin Black used in their previous albums, with the band and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra complimenting one another's sound and given roughly equal prominence.

The full ASO Chorus has thrice visited Berlin, giving three performances on each occasion of Benjamin Britten's War Requiem (2003), Hector Berlioz's Grande Messe des Morts (2008), and Johannes Brahms's Ein Deutsches Requiem (2009) with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under ASO Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles.
He also edited new completed performing versions of Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony in b-minor, the Great Mass in C minor and the Requiem by Mozart, both based on original sources.
First professional Boston performances of Luigi Cherubini's Requiem in C minor in 2005, a neglected work highly praised by leading composers of the day and favorably compared with Mozart's Requiem.
So far, the choir performed Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, Gioachino Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, and highlights from classical choral works (including George Frideric Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Andrew Lloyd Webber and others)in addition to Gregorian chants at the historical location of the Citadel.

In 2005 she performed Verdi’s Requiem at the Auditorium of Santa Cecilia in Rome, conducted by Zubin Mehta; at the requiem mass for Pope John Paul II; and on tour in Frankfurt and Vienna with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, conducted by Riccardo Chailly.
She starred in "Requiem" with Jason Connery; and more recently has worked as a freelance writer, writing for the Listings Magazine, View London, International Woman's Monthly and several other online and print magazines.

Recent SUMS performances include; Mozart's Great Mass in C minor and Fauré's Requiem in 2010; Duruflé's Requiem in 2011 and Verdi's Requiem, which SUMS performed with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Symphony Orchestra, Choir and Chamber Choir in June 2012.
In the 1987 documentary, A Woman Is a Risky Bet: Six Orchestra Conductors, directed by Christina Olofson, Dudarova conducts the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra and Choir in a performance of Mozart's Requiem.
