Ribeira da Janela, a parish in the district of Porto Moniz in the Madeira Islands
The valley of the Ribeira da Janela is nearly 1 km northwest of the village, it neighbors the valley of the Ribeira do Paúl to the northwest and features palm trees in the middle.
The stream begins just northeast of the mountaintop and the caldera of Pico da Cruz.
