Richard John Bingham, 7th Earl of Lucan (born 1934), British peer, disappeared in 1974, following the murder of his children's nanny
He was the only son of Charles Bingham, 1st Earl of Lucan and his wife Margaret Smith, daughter of Sir James Smith.
Richard Bingham, future commander of Connacht, was present and described events in a letter to the Earl of Leicester, although he claimed the massacre was perpetrated by sailors.
