His album Tri-fecta was released in 2009 in collaboration with Oscar Lopez and Rik Emmett (of the Rock Group, Triumph) was nominated in 2010 for a JUNO Award for Instrumental Album of The Year.
A notable example was Rik Emmett, who co-hosted an episode and played the then-new Triumph single "Let the Light (Shine on Me)" acoustically before jamming with his co-writer Sil Simone in a guitar battle.
