Best known as the biographer of Dr. Robert Baird McClure, Scott has also written extensively for television, films, and the stage, and wrote the Sound & Light Show for Parliament Hill, 1984–93.
He was Moderator of the United Church of Canada 1968–1971 and in 1971 he was made a Companion of the Order of Canada.
