His exhibition Icons of the 60's was made up of historical pictures in monumental sizes, mostly portraits of the musicians he had met during the 1960s, including John Lennon, Yoko Ono, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Rory Gallagher, Roy Orbison, Julie Felix and Norwegian artists like Terje Rypdal and Wenche Myhre.

He studied electrical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley under professors Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli and Robert Meyer and received his doctorate in 1989.
The resort's centerpiece southern style mansion was built by General John Franklin Miller in the 1860s Amfac, Inc. developed the property as a resort in the 1960s and it was purchased by Robert Meyer in 1984 for $20 million who sold it to Isao Okawa in 1989 for $110 million his son Setsuo Okawa inherited the property after the death of his father.
