March 10, 1998 Pozos made his debut for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) where he adopted the gimmick of "Charly Manson", playing upon the look and personality of American musician Marilyn Manson complete with white facepaint, clothes and entrance music (Manson's Rock Is Dead).
The song was to have been included on the album Rock Is Dead—Long Live Rock!, before that was shelved.
Following its release, other artists have released songs of similar titles criticizing the demise of specific musical genres led by reckless artists, namely Marilyn Manson's 1999 "Rock Is Dead" and Nas' 2006 album and single Hip Hop Is Dead.

Rock Is Dead—Long Live Rock was to be produced by The Who and Glyn Johns and scheduled for release in October 1972, but although the album was nearly completed (according to Townshend) the band felt as though it sounded too much like their 1971 LP Who's Next.

In the liner notes for the Who's 1974 rarities collection Odds & Sods, guitarist and lead songwriter Pete Townshend said, "I had an idea once for a new album about the history of The Who called Rock Is Dead—Long Live Rock. That idea later blossomed into Quadrophenia." The sessions for the album spanned from 19 May to 6 June at Olympic Studios in London.

He has written several plays, a collection of which was published by Dramatists Play Service entitled “Dashow Must Go On”, and “Rock is Dead” which was produced off-Broadway at the Soho Playhouse.
This includes the full-length music videos of P.O.D.'s "Sleeping Awake", and Marilyn Manson's "Rock is Dead", which both feature many concepts and theatrical footage from the first two Matrix films.
