During the 2006 Men's World 9-Ball Championship he survived the group stages, the round of 64 and the round of 32, but was eliminated in the round of 16 by Rodolfo Luat.
He also placed runner-up in the 2006 US Open held at Chesapeake, Virginia, losing to John Schmidt, 11-6, but winning US$15,000 in the process.
