After the school closed on Friday June 13, 1986, students attending Forest View switched to Rolling Meadows High School, Elk Grove High School or Prospect High School.

Rolling Meadows High School

It serves primarily central and east Rolling Meadows (east of Route 53), a significant part of Arlington Heights and a small part of Mount Prospect.


John Hersey High School

Named after writer John Hersey, it is part of Township High School District 214, which also includes Buffalo Grove High School, Elk Grove High School, Prospect High School, Rolling Meadows High School, and Wheeling High School.
