Later, when Doctor Who was again being produced on television, Davies trapped Rose Tyler behind a door that refused to open In "The End of the World" — just as he had done with Reet in Episode Six of Dark Season.
It has been speculated that Davies loosely adapted elements from The Flood in his later DW storylines The Parting of the Ways and Army of Ghosts (in particular the Doctor absorbing the time/space vortex to save Rose Tyler's life, triggering his regeneration and the ghost-shifting infiltration of The Cybermen on an unsuspecting public)
The Ninth Doctor comic tenure were perhaps most notable for two things: the brevity of their run and the involvement of Rose Tyler.

In the episode, alien time traveller the Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) and his companion Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) travel to Victorian Cardiff on Christmas, 1869 where there have been sightings of strange gas-like creatures.
He went on to criticise Lucian Msamati as Guido as he "seemed to be taken straight out of Othello", negatively compared the love triangle between the Doctor, Amy and Rory to the storyline with previous characters Rose and Mickey, and thought the ending was too similar to "The Idiot's Lantern" and "Evolution of the Daleks".
Figures based off the first four series of the revival included variants of, the Ninth Doctor, the Tenth Doctor, companions such as Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, and Donna Noble, various secondary and minor characters, and alien enemies encountered such as Daleks, Cybermen, Slitheen, Autons, Clockwork Robots, Scarecrows, and Weeping Angels.
