On 3 April 1930, she and her sister gave the first performance of the Concerto for Two Violins of Gustav Holst, at a Royal Philharmonic concert at the Queen's Hall, under the direction of Oskar Fried.
As a soloist he has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Orchestra of St. Johns Smith Square and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and is an active chamber music player and performs many recitals with James Pearson.
In 2005, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with the Choir of Clare College Cambridge, under Leonard Slatkin, premiered his largest choral work Annelies, a setting of the Diary of Anne Frank, at London's Cadogan Hall to wide critical acclaim.
