In 2008 she was elected to the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities and in 2010 to the Royal Society of Arts and Sciences in Gothenburg.

The ruins were bought by the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities (Vitterhetsakademien) in the 1950s and 1960s and are today preserved by the Swedish National Heritage Board (Riksantikvarieämbetet).
It was the location for the National Archives (Riksarkivet) and the Royal Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities (Kungliga Vitterhets-, Historie- och Antikvitetsakademien (KVHAA) or Vitterhetsakademien for short) during the period 1848-1863.
