Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra

LACO presents 14 Orchestral Series concerts annually at two theaters: the Alex Theatre in Glendale and UCLA's Royce Hall, and occasionally plays additional concerts at Zipper Hall at The Colburn School and at Ambassador Auditorium.

Royce Hall

In 1985, Patrick Stewart performed a demonstration of various plays at Royce Hall to aid a friend who was a member of the faculty.

Named after Josiah Royce, a California-born philosopher who received his bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley in 1875, the building's exterior is composed of elements borrowed from numerous northern Italian sources.

In Noah Hawley's 2012 novel The Good Father, a Presidential candidate is assassinated during a speech in Royce Hall.

What They Died For

The episode was shown for approximately 1800 people at UCLA's Royce Hall on May 13, 2010 as a fundraiser for scholarships for the Colburn School of Performing Arts.
