The scenario is written entirely by Ryukishi07, who also provides some of the character designs, which are divided between three additional artists: Jirō Suzuki, Sōichirō and Yaeko Ninagawa.
His pen name originates from the Final Fantasy series, "Ryūkishi" being the Japanese term for "Dragon Knight", and "07" goroawase for the name of Final Fantasy V character "Lenna".
